• Reason 1,374 to love Madden: he’s got an old school 7-man blocking sled in his backyard.

• No internet, no Kiper, few “scouts,” yet it still seems tough to fathom that you could find a “sleeper” with 20+ rounds of drafting.

• Jay Cutlers Vandy coach says “Jay was not a whiner here….” hmmm. The cocky frat boy I saw in Donkey victories  contrasted mightily with his sullen act in Donko defeat… must have learned it somewhere???

 

• Quoting his Vandy coach ”Cutler never whined, never whimpered during his time at Vanderbilt.” Is it me, or does the fact that he felt compelled to say so lend credence to it?

 

• No DUI for massive Dolt runstopper Jamaal Williams (sorry Samson)… up next on the Bolts DUI blotter will be WR Vincent Jackson.

 

• AJ Smith won his staredown with Raider Killer LT this offseason, but I wonder how long his pompous act will last b4 a full fledged revolt ensues.

 

• Me thinks one down year in “Americas finest city” will cause a meltdown, as the fissures from  the massive friction Smith has created with his “I am your omnipotent master” schtick surfaces in SD.

 

• Texass DE Brian Orakpo is angling for a 20-sack season… per Orakpo (four times typed = four typos). Per RG: given the Sunday success of 1st round Lone Star talent of late, be happy to make a roster.

 

• I believe Orakpo and Andre “the giant” Smith will get lots of last minute Silver & Black contemplation come draft morning.

 

• No confirmation yet that Andre Smith (another boom or bust poster-child) will wear a manbro.

 

• Smith’s 35 5/8th” reach may make him too tempting to pass on as a “Cadillac” Cable pick, especially given the difficulties a comparitively short armed Gallery had at LT.

 

• Madden on consulting for the Raiders “Nuh-uh”… tell me how you feel in September.

 

• The Maddencruiser will live on, and a good read on his life from Cam Inman.
